Moving complaints by state
When a move starts and ends inside the same state, the federal FMCSA household-goods rules don’t apply — that state regulates the move and handles complaints. Below is every state and the District of Columbia, each linking to its official consumer-complaint page. States with a “detailed filing guide” link have a page here covering that state’s own moving regulator; for every other state, the link goes straight to the state attorney general or consumer-protection agency. Links were verified in June 2026 — if one has moved, your state attorney general’s site is the place to start.
